Submission and Publishing Guidelines

At Flowers of Jannah, our mission is to produce high-quality, meaningful, and affordable books in English, Urdu, and Arabic that help instill core Islamic values in children.

If you have a talent for writing or ideas for children’s books that align with our vision, we invite you to join us in this important work.

We are seeking to publish engaging fiction and non-fiction titles that reflect an Islamic perspective and inspire young minds. To give your manuscript the best chance of being considered, please take the time to review our submission guidelines and learn more about our publishing process.

  • Refer to our previously published work to avoid duplicating topics.
  • Include the following in your email:
    1. A short personal introduction
    2. A brief summary of your manuscript and the purpose behind writing the book
    3. The title of the book, the target age group, and the book format (board book, paperback, etc.)
  • If you wish to submit a manuscript related to a specific season or occasion such as Ramadan, Hajj, or Eid, please ensure it is submitted at least 3 to 4 months in advance. Do not wait until the last moment, as timely planning is essential for seasonal releases.
  • Do not submit a script that is already under consideration by another publishing house. If you are submitting a script to FoJ, please wait for our response before sending the same manuscript elsewhere.

2. Assessment and Content Evaluation

Once submitted, the manuscript is forwarded to our editor and head authors for assessment. The evaluation is based on the following criteria:

Literary Quality

  • Originality of content
  • Creativity of ideas and expression
  • Clarity and coherence of writing
  • Smooth flow and structure of the plot

Relevance and Compliance

  • Shariah compliance
  • Practical relevance and applicability
  • Uniqueness of the topic

Commercial Potential

  • Marketability and reader appeal

3. Decision

The assessment process takes approximately six weeks to six months. Please note that sending messages and calling on Whatsapp again and again won’t speed up the assessment process.

Our aim is to respond to every submission made, however, we cannot always guarantee that this will be possible. If your script is accepted, our team will contact you after the assessment. If major changes are required in the plot, we will communicate those with you at this stage.

If you would like to learn more about our publishing process, submission guidelines, or details such as royalties, please feel free to contact us via email or WhatsApp.

We look forward to supporting authors in polishing their work, mastering the craft of storytelling, publishing their dream manuscripts, and making a meaningful impact within the Ummah.
